It’s always interesting to learn about brands taking a new and innovative approach to social media engagement. One such brand is a client of ours, Nitto Tires, recently featured in Brand Innovators for their new Nitto Tire ambassador program.
Nitto is currently somewhat a David against the tire Goliaths, Goodrich, Goodyear and Bridgestone, but they are steadily gaining traction.
Nitto is determined to increase brand awareness stateside, and one component of that strategy is their new ambitious and highly structured brand ambassador problem. The Nitto Lightbox enables these brand ambassadors to post photos, artwork, videos and other consumer experiences in return for loyalty points and exclusive experiences.
Nitto is taking an innovative approach to social media that directly addresses the challenge that many brands face when trying to organically reach and engage consumers on Facebook. They are aiming to drive reach and impressions in the newsfeed of consumers without having to increase their Facebook ad spend by leveraging advocates and compelling social content.
