How CEOs Use Video to Reach Employees Down the Hall and Around the World

I just read an interview in Vanity Fair with GE CEO Jeff Immelt, who I think is one of the best CEOs of all time. He has been named one of the “World’s Best CEOs” three times by Barron’s, and led GE when Forbes named it “America’s Most Admired Company” in 2013. I recommend you read the interview when you can.

I read with interest the following question about how Immelt views social media platforms like Snapchat, particularly around video.

Vanity Fair: How could you see using it (Snapchat)?
Immelt: I think you could give the C.E.O.’s message every day, visually. You could just sit there on a sales call with the customer complaining about G.E. and get in front of 30,000 people immediately.

Here at Dynamic Signal, we couldn’t agree more with Jeff Immelt and his thoughts on video. His reasoning is part of why we introduced our mobile video capture and distribution feature last year – Company Moments.

In our daily lives, we now use video more and more as the medium to communicate on social platforms like Facebook, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Instagram. Recent studies have proven that video content has the highest conversion rates, drives the most downstream engagement and has the highest rate-of-recall of any content delivered in the corporate environment today.

Innovative CEOs are realizing that video, when easily created and distributed, is an efficient and engaging way to communicate with employees down the hall and around the world.

We’ve made it easy to use video when communicating with your employees and your organization. Dynamic Signal’s Company Moments in-platform video feature allows for quick, professional and safe video production, editing and distribution of video content to employees across the globe. Using your mobile device, anyone can create a high quality professional video in minutes, edit the content and distribute it to a targeted group or across the organization in just a few minutes. Simple to produce, powerfully distributed video is what has been missing to simplify and strengthen corporate employee communications and bring it into today’s mobile world.
