We are looking for a smart, energetic, and knowledgeable HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team in Chicago, IL. As a trusted HRBP in the company, you will be the main resource to ensure that our managers and individual contributors have the support they need to be as effective as possible in their roles. Partnering with Dynamic Signal managers, you will help our teams navigate through tough employee relations issues, provide coaching, guidance, and recommendations, and help them problem-solve and identify solutions to enhance their effectiveness and performance. You’ll also get creative in the areas of organizational design, talent development, workforce planning, succession planning, labor and employee relations, rewards, training, leadership development, and performance management.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Deliver appropriate coaching and development feedback to managers and employees
  • Build strong relationships with key people in the client group by frequently connecting with them about their concerns and insights
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) to enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed
  • Ability to develop and interpret talent data; focusing on engagement, learning, and development, succession planning, and retention.
  • Provide consultative advice related to business unit restructure, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Assist in driving various HR initiatives such as performance management, goal setting, compensation planning, merit reviews, and employee career development
  • Develop, implement and facilitate training and development initiatives to meet the specific business needs of the organization
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and understanding of key business priorities facing the organization; use business knowledge to develop people solutions that are unique to the business
  • Assess employee development needs and make recommendations for appropriate solutions
  • Design and deliver targeted solutions, including strategic planning, visioning, change management, and team building

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, with minimum 4 years in an HRBP role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
  • Previous international exposure/assignment with ability to work across various cultures
  • A people-person mindset, with a natural knack for building relationships and rapport at all levels of an organization
  • Experience and effectiveness working with senior leaders and associates that are located remotely
  • Flexibility and the ability to adjust to a constantly changing work environment is a must
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide presentations in a productive, compelling manner
  • Natural and effective coaching/mentoring style
  • Deep understanding of HR functions, policies, and best practices
  • Knowledge of employment/labor law
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • The drive of a self-starter with the ability to lead programs independently
  • Business acumen and strong consultative skills
  • Strong business ethics
