Revenue Accounting Manager

WHO YOU ARE

  • Take ownership of the revenue monthly close process for US and UK companies, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and account analysis, reconciling deferred and unbilled revenues
  • Oversee integration and compliance of revenue recognition under US GAAP ASC 606
  • Manage sales monthly/quarterly/annual commission calculations
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders in the company (e.g. sales AEs, legal, revenue ops, etc.) to ensure that financial terms within sales contracts are appropriate in accordance with the revenue recognition policy as well as sales contract policy
  • Take ownership of “closed won” opportunities in Salesforce and synchronize accounting data in Netsuite
  • Assist in timely execution of renewal and upsell contracts, and maintain customer and contract list
  • Supervise AR Specialist in performing full cycle AR functions
  • Participate in design and implementation of internal controls, company policies, and accounting processes based on best practices
  • Ensure that all activities related to this job position are accomplished in an ethical, prudent and secure manner
  • Prepare and distribute monthly/quarterly/annual P&L vs. Budget reports to each department heads and work with them in performing variance analysis
  • Lead or assist in special projects for the US & UK companies: Audits, income/sales/excise tax returns, system conversions, evaluation & implementation of new account standards such as ASC 606, various other Fed/State reporting requirements, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
  • 6-8 years of accounting experience with a minimum of 3 years in public accounting
  • SaaS experience with revenue recognition under US GAAP ASC 606
  • Prior experience utilizing online QuickBooks Pro, NetSuite, Expensify or Concur desired
