Senior Accounting Manager

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to own the Accounting function at Dynamic Signal.  This person will manage a small team of 2-3 reports initially, but the team may expand over time. The Senior Accounting Manager will be the point person for Equity and Revenue Accounting and will oversee the AP function. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that financials are accurately stated and own the month-end close process. This role will also ensure accounting policies are keep up to date and support the Audit process.

Requirements:

  • Own the monthly financial close process, including the detailed review of journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and MoM fluxes for the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows
  • Have experience in Equity Accounting and coordinate with third-party vendors as needed
  • Have hands-on experience with implementing and operationalizing ASC 606 Revenue Recognition. This person will own the revenue accounting for month-end close
  • Closely manage a team that supports the day to day accounting operations
  • Manage cash forecasting and support cash management reporting as needed
  • Own the month-end reporting package and data integrity in reports delivered to the CFO. Also, review reporting packages that we provide externally to banks and/or investors (i.e. reports to ensure compliance for debt facilities)
  • Actively look for ways to build out internal controls and improve the current quote to cash and procure to pay functions
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
  • Responsible for hierarchy and scalability in chart of accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements
  • Provide accounting guidance to the team on how to book infrequent/unusual accounting transactions
  • Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns and ensure the timely filing of Sales taxes, State and Federal returns
  • Ensure Accounting Policies are kept up to date
  • Stay current on technical literature from the FASB and provide technical accounting guidance as needed

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of progressive Accounting experience
  • Big 4 public accounting experience with industry experience a must
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a team
  • Has owned the month-end close process preferably at a tech company
  • Has technical accounting experience and a strong background specifically in ASC 606, Equity Accounting, and can own keeping our accounting policies up to date
  • Strong Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP, if functions, pivot tables, etc. and computer skills
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, demanding environment. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and juggle several urgent demands at any given point, while adapting to changing priorities
  • Detailed oriented and strong project management skills are a must as this is a critical function within the Finance organization
  • Outstanding communication skills (written/ oral) and ability to partner cross-functionally
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or Chartered Accountant
