Vice President, Product & Customer Marketing

Are you three parts strategist, two parts storyteller and one part master manager/execution fiend? Then perhaps you are our first VP, Product Marketing & Customer Marketing. We have a dynamic, bright and young product marketing team in search of an experience, supportive and effective leader. Product & Customer Marketing is the intersection between product and sales; product and customer success – ensuring that Dynamic Signal has the most compelling and competitive platform that is packaged, positioned, priced and promoted in the most effective way for both our existing customers and our new prospects.

We are looking for an experienced product storyteller and strategist who can understand market dynamics, as well as the individual and business objectives of prospects and customers. We are seeking someone passionate about buyer enablement who can communicate about our product in a compelling, succinct, and authentic manner. You will join a stellar, agile marketing team that brings new products & services to market, drives competitive intelligence and positioning, analyzes opportunities, and influences go-to-market tactics.  You possess a record of success in dynamic environments and grace in collaborating with multiple stakeholders to get stuff done. You savor measuring the impact of your work and building consensus across teams.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Create short and long-term strategy to maximize sale and end-user adoption of Dynamic Signal’s Platform
  • Develop go-to-market strategy for platform
  • Create packages to address specific customer initiatives and industries
  • Drive messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies for Dynamic Signal’s Platform features
  • Deeply understand our products, buyers, competition, and markets
  • Lead the product and customer marketing function, managing Product & Customer Marketing Managers and Associates
  • Represent the company and the product to prospects, customers and analysts
  • Manage team who:
  • Develops competitive strategies and playbooks
  • Tells our product story through collateral, case studies, webinars, demos, and supporting sales enablement
  • Develops demo videos and other visual materials
  • Drive go-to-market efforts for new features and verticals
  • Deliver messaging strategies that appeal to potential and existing customers
  • Launch new features to sales, prospects, and customers with supporting materials and clear messages
  • Conducts and manages market research
  • Deliver compelling presentations to small & large groups about our products & solutions
  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing, Customer Marketing, Communications and Content to maximize the impact of product innovations and to maintain a compelling and consistent market voice
  • Partner with our sales team to win opportunities
  • Work with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive Management to help prioritize market needs, product roadmaps, and investment to achieve and exceed business goals

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience with demonstrated business success in SaaS environments or other analogous environments
  • College graduate, MBA desirable
  • Highly skilled at critical decision-making; ability to evaluate business issues and resolve problems
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering messaging and materials that drive pipeline, higher win rates, and revenue
  • Highly effective presentation skills to large audiences and potential customers
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work across organizational lines, command respect, and influence without authority
  • Experience conducting and analyzing market and competitive research
  • Must be able to thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible work environment, and switch rapidly from strategy to execution
  • Travel will be required (10%-20%)
